ROCHESTER -- A popular Central New York grocery store is one of the best companies to work for. That's according to FORTUNE Magazine.

FORTUNE just released it's 15th annual "100 Best Companies to Work For" list and Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. ranks #4.

Wegmans has appeared on the FORTUNE list for 15 consecutive years, every year since the list was first published in 1998. It has been ranked among the top 5 for eight consecutive years.

"The only way to be a great place to shop is to first be a great place to work," says CEO Danny Wegman. "When I visit our stores I see how our employees care about each other and about our customers. Because of our people, we have been able to grow our business without compromising our values."

The full list will appear in the February 6 issue of the magazine, which will be available on newsstands on Monday, January 23. You can also find the full list by clicking here.

Wegmans currently employs 42,000 people in six states. Last year, the company raked in $6.2 billion.

The company is currently hiring for new stores it will open in King of Prussia, PA (May) and Columbia, MD (June). It will soon start hiring for a new store in Crofton, MD, which opens this fall. There are also positions available at Wegmans' existing stores and in manufacturing, distribution, and corporate. To apply, click here.

Wegmans will celebrate the ranking this Saturday, when cake will be served at every Wegmans store.
