56 year old was riding on groomed trails
A man from Canastota is dead, after a snowmobile accident in West Turin, Lewis County.
State Police say it happened about 12:30pm Saturday afternoon, on snow trail #C4A, south of Kraeger Road. Edward Kohles, from Canastota, lost control of his 2011 Polaris, was thrown from his sled and hit by an oncoming snowmobiler. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
