SYRACUSE -- A three-year-old girl was cut by flying glass, and a 24-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot while sitting in a car outside a south side Syracuse home.

Police say Adrian Jones was shot in the chest and neck. The three-year-old, Adorable Reddis, who was in the car with Jones and others, was hit in the elbow by glass from a shattered window.

Police were called to 1315 Midland Avenue about 12:56 a.m Sunday for reports of shots fired, but Jones was not there. He was taken to University Hospital in a private vehicle.

Police were told a brown minivan had pulled up in front of the house, and that the shots were fired as the van drove away.

Anyone with information is asked to call Syracuse Police at 442-5222.
