LEBANON, MADISON CO. -- An Earlville man is charged with drunk driving in a crash that left both him and his passenger hurt.

It happened around 10:48 p.m. Saturday on State Route 12 B in the Town of Lebanon.

State police say 21-year-old Andrew Ashton lost control, driving across the lawn of a home at 1343 State Route 12B and slamming into a tree.

Ashton and his passenger 20-year-old Deonna Stoddard suffered minor facial injuries. Both refused medical treatment at the scene.

Police say Ashton was drunk and traveling too fast for the road conditions. He was charged with DWI and released to a third party. He's scheduled to re-appear in the Town of Lebanon Court on February 9.
