MARION, WAYNE CO. -- A Palmyra man is facing child pornography charges.
46-year-old Michael Smith is charged with 18 counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child and 9 counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child.
State police say Smith was sharing files on his computer that depicted children under the age of 16 engaging in sexual conduct.
Smith was arraigned in the Town of Marion Court and sent to the Wayne County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash or $4,000 bond.
The investigation continues.
