NEW YORK MILLS -- Police in New York Mills, outside of Utica, are warning people of a potentially dangerous situation.
Officers are on the scene of a standoff at the Carolyn Courts Apartment building right now. They were first called there at about three o'clock this afternoon. Dispatchers with the police department say they could not release specific details about the call.
People at the Carolyn Courts Apartment building, not far from the New York Mills Firefighters Park, are being told to stay inside and away from windows if they are already home. If they are not home yet, they're being told to stay away until the situation is resolved.
New York Mills Police, along with State Police and the Oneida County Sheriff's Department are on the scene.
