ROME, ONEIDA CO. -- A Blossvale man is accused of driving drunk and crashing, leaving two people hurt.
It happened around 6:55 p.m. Monday on Rome Taberg Road in Rome.
Oneida County Sheriff's deputies say 37-year-old Daniel Armstrong was driving a 2000 Chevrolet pick-up truck when he rear ended a 2005 Dodge pickup that was stopped at a red light in a construction zone on Rt. 69. That led to a chain reaction crash with the Dodge pickup rear ending a 2003 Ford Taurus that was also stopped at the light.
Armstrong is charged with aggravated DWI, DWI and following too closely. Investigators say Armstrong's blood alcohol content was .20 percent.
Two passengers in the Taurus, Elizabeth Rienzo and Trinity Blanchard, were transported to Rome Hospital for treatment. No word yet on the extent of their injuries.
Armstrong is also a suspect in a hit and run accident earlier in the night.
