MARCY, ONEIDA CO. -- A six-month investigation leads to the arrest of a Marcy man on arson charges.

24-year-old Kurt Lichtenberger, of 5971 Cavanaugh Road, is accused of setting his own 2005 Chevrolet Colorado pick up truck on fire last June.

The truck was reported stolen and later found the next month on the National Grid substation right of way adjacent to River Road. It had been extensively burned, and investigators determined it was arson.

On Monday, police arrested Lichtenberger and charged him with arson and falsely reporting an incident. He was arraigned in the Town of Floyd Court and sent to the Oneida County Jail on $20,000 bail.
