ORISKANY -- A man who was once a wanted fugitive is now accused of trying to break out of jail.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Department says Stephen Dineen, 28, was hiding things in the exterior wall of his cell. During a routine search, officers found a metallic mop head holder hidden in a hole in the wall under his bunk.
Dineen was charged with attempted escape and promoting prison contraband.
He was arrested in November on a parole violation.
