SYRACUSE -- New details have been released on a fire that left 19 people homeless.
Fire investigators in Syracuse say they may never know exactly what caused a fire at a three story building at the corner of Eastman and South Avenues on Saturday. However, they do know it started on the outside of the building.
Investigators say the building was so badly damaged it's not safe for them to be in or around it. That means they won't be able to find out what caused the fire. They do say it does not appear to have been set on purpose.
The building may have to be demolished.
