DURHAMVILLE -- An Oneida teenager is facing weapons possession charges for allegedly having a set of metal knuckles in his pants pocket.
The 16-year-old was pulled over on Center Street in Durhamville around 6 p.m. Thursday.
Police were investigating an accident when the teen allegedly drove around a marked patrol car with its emergency lights flashing and tried to drive through the crash scene while the tow truck was removing a vehicle from the ditch.
Police say the teen had metal knuckles in his pocket and was driving without a valid driver's license or learner's permit.
Police say the teen was driving his mother's car with another teenager who was teaching him how to drive. Both teens are now facing charges.
