WATERTOWN -- A former Fort Drum soldier in trouble with the law is facing more charges.
20-year-old Russell Marcum is now charged with burglary, criminal possession of stolen property and false written statement at local storage facilities including U-Lock-It Storage on ST-342 in Watertown and ABC Storage on ST-283 in Watertown. Marcum is also charged with breaking into Preferred Power Sports on ST-11 in Watertown.
He was the subject of a manhunt back in September. Authorities say Marcum escaped from military custody, stole a car in Virgil, in Cortland County and then lead police on a chase. He was later caught in Dryden, in Tompkins County.
