Energy-saving program expanded in NY
You can save money by being more energy efficient
NYSERDA, the NY State Energy Research & Development Authority, is helping cut energy bills through cutting electric use and increasing efficiency of appliances and heating systems.
Michelle Evanson, the state's outreach coordinator for 'EmPower NY" says the service is available to anyone who qualifies for HEAP heating assistance. Energy audits include looking at light bulbs, and appliances, as well as heating systems, and replacing or upgrading if needed.
