NEW HAVEN, OSWEGO CO. -- A Mexico man is accused of driving drunk and crashing and later threatening an Oswego County Sheriff's deputy.

Deputies say 22-year-old Seth Peterson, of 814 West Stone Road, was drunk behind the wheel when he crashed into a ditch off West Stone Road around 3:38 a.m. Friday.

He's charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to take a breath test, consuming an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, crossing hazardous road markings and unlawful possession of marijuana.

While he was being processed at the Public Safety Building, deputies say Peterson threatened a deputy and was later charged with harassment.

Peterson was arraigned in the Town of New Haven Court and sent to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bail bond. He is due back in court on February 2.
