MARATHON, CORTLAND CO. -- A Marathon man is accused of running a marijuana growing operation.

27-year-old Brian Bell, of 756 Merrill Creek Road, was arrested at his home following a four-month investigation.

Cortland County investigators say they seized marijuana plants and growing equipment.

Bell is charged with criminal possession of marijuana, a felony. Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies say he had more than a half a pound of marijuana at his home and was growing cannabis without a permit.

Bell was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandville Court and sent to jail on $10,00 cash or $20,000 bond.
