SYRACUSE --
A Syracuse woman has been shot while standing in the doorway of an apartment on 604 Park Street on the Northside of the city.
The victim, Sandra Olmeda, age 34, was hit with two "buck shot" pellets, one hit her forehead and the other hit her lip.
Police say the suspect is a man in his 20s. Witnesses say the suspect was standing on the opposite side of the street when he fired a shotgun, towards the victim.
Witnesses told police there had been a verbal argument in the street prior to the shooting. It's unknown at this time if Olmeda was the intended target of this shooting.
Olmeda was transported to Upstate University Hospital with non life threatening injuries. Anyone with information on this shooting is asked to call the Syracuse Police Department 315-442-5222.
