Police say the 77-year-old was crossing James Street at North Salina Street when a Saturn sedan hit him.

The man appeared to suffer both head and leg injuries and was transported to Upstate University Hospital.

Police say the driver, Brenda Jones, was ticketed for failing to yield for a pedestrian.
