Attorneys on both sides of the Bernie Fine related lawsuit are pressing for a legal advantage that's revealed in newly filed court documents. Lawyers for plaintiffs Bobby Davis and Mike Lang are pushing a New York City judge to order response to a list of four wide ranging requests of Syracuse University and basketball coach Jim Boeheim. The legal team for the university and the coach has set a March 14th deadline to dismiss the lawsuit while also asking an Onondaga County Supreme Court to move the case from Manhattan to Syracuse.

Court papers give a broad idea of the plaintiff's strategy in the case and the time frame on which it is focused in trying to prove defamation by Jim Boeheim. Counsels Mariann Wang and Gloria Allred are looking for answers under oath to four major questions. They relate to the intimate activities of Bernie Fine, Laurie Fine, a coach's wife and players on the team between 1992 and 1997.

These are the interrogations in the filings:

1.They want names and contact information of anyone that Boeheim or the University knew had a sexual, intimate or inappropriately close relationship with Bernie Fine and/ or Laurie Fine.

2.They want names and contact information of anyone who complained formally or informally, in writing or orally that Bernie Fine or Laurie Fine had sexual, intimate or inappropriately close relationships with ball-boys, basketball players or other boys or teens.

3.They want names and contact information of anyone who complained formally or informally about the wife of a coach, staff members or assistant coach about sexual, intimate or inappropriately close relationships with basketball team players.

4.They want the names and contact information of all players on the Syracuse team between 1992 and 1997.

Here are some of the key upcoming dates for the Davis and Lang lawsuit against Syracuse University and coach Jim Boeheim. New York County Supreme Court Justice Anil Singh has ordered attorneys for both sides appear in a Manhattan court on February 10th at 10:00 a.m. He is calling for oral arguments on discovery issues. The plaintiffs are due to respond to the request to change venue to Onondaga County on February 14th. A hearing is scheduled on change of venue in Syracuse in Onondaga County Supreme Court on February 21st.
