SYRACUSE -- The Vera House is getting ready for its annual White Ribbon Campaign to fight domestic violence.
This year's honorary chairman is Reverend Kevin J. Agee, pastor at the Hopps Memorial CME Church.
Agee serves on many boards promoting community togetherness and is a member of the community trauma response team as well as a volunteer for Upstate Medical and Crouse hospitals.
Agee says, "Often domestic violence and other types of abuse are far closer to you, than you might imagine. I share the urgency around motivating men to step up to the plate and say no to domestic violence and other forms of abuse."
This year the White Ribbon Campaign runs from March 23rd until April 1st.
The Vera House expects to raise more than $70,000 in this year's campaign for awareness programs and services.
