76 year old man struck, car lost mirror

A 76 year old man was struck by a car Wednesday night while walking on Route 26 in the community of Georgetown in Madison County. 

Madison County Sheriff's deputies say the collision happened on Route 26 between East Hill Road and Bronder Hill Road at 7:25 pm.  The only description of the car is small and dark and missing a side view mirror due to the crash.

The name of the man hit by the car has not been released. He is expected to survive his injuries.  Madison County Sheriff's Deputies would like you to call 366-2311 if you have more information to help the investigation.
