MANLIUS -- In Manlius this morning, demolition crews tore down an old building on Pleasant Street, just a couple of blocks away from the Swan Pond off Route 92.
Mayor Mark-Paul Serafin says the city is going to use the land to build a new Bicentennial Park.
Right now, the park is still in the concept stage with more meetings planned for the spring and summer. At the moment designers are hoping it will be used as a green space with pathways and park benches.
Next year the village will be celebrating its 200th birthday.
