WATERTOWN -- A Watertown man is accused of dropping his 5-year-old son on the bathroom floor while disciplining him, injuring the little boy.

36-year-old Bryon Holmes, of 16628 Parker Road, is charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

State police say he recklessly dropped his son on the bathroom floor while disciplining him, causing a hematoma to the back of the boy's neck. A hematoma can be life threatening. Holmes is also accused of causing two bruises to his son's face. Both incidents allegedly happened on Saturday.

Holmes was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hounsfield Court on Thursday.
