UTICA -- A Utica man is accused of stealing from his elderly grandfather.

Utica police say 25-year-old Bryan Jones, of Walnut Street, stole several checks from his 85-year-old grandfather who has dementia. They say Jones later forged his grandfather's signature on the checks and received more than $2,600.

Jones is charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument, all felonies.
