SYRACUSE -- A Syracuse man has been indicted on charges in another man's death.

A grand jury indicted 18-year-old Shaquel Williams, of 123 Baker Avenue, on charges of manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say Williams stabbed 20-year-old Kyheem Pringle last June along the 400 block of West Colvin Street. They say the trouble started when Williams got into a fight with two men and made a disparaging comment about Pringle's deceased mother. When Pringle arrived, he and Williams started arguing. That's when police say Williams stabbed Pringle in the chest.

Police say Williams took off and was later found a the Midland Discount Market, where employees noticed he was carrying a knife and there was evidence of blood on him. Pringle was pronounced dead at at the hospital.
