NEW HAVEN -- An investigation is underway to determine what caused a house fire in Oswego County.

It happened Thursday night around 11:38 at 1039 County Route 35 in the Town of New Haven, according to Oswego County 911 dispatch.

We're told nine fire departments responded to the scene, along with three ambulances. The flames were quickly knocked down.

Two people who lived in the house were transported to Upstate University Hospital for mild burns, according to the New Haven assistant fire chief.

As of 3:30 a.m., fire crews had left the scene, according to the New Haven fire department.

At this time, it appears the fire was caused by a wood stove, but officials are continuing to investigate, according to the fire department.
