ROCHESTER (AP) -- The expanding Dinosaur Bar-B-Que restaurant chain started in upstate New York nearly 25 years ago is scouting locations in the home of the chicken wing.

John Stage, co-founder and CEO of the company, tells the Democrat and Chronicle of Rochester that he's in the early process of looking for potential sites in Buffalo for new restaurant.

Stage opened the first Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Syracuse in 1988. He opened another in downtown Rochester a decade later. Since then, Dinosaur roadhouse-themed bar and restaurants have opened in Harlem and Troy.

A fifth location is set to open in Newark, N.J., this spring, followed by one in Stamford, Conn., later this year and a Brooklyn restaurant in 2013.

Stage, a New York City native, runs his barbecue joints while splitting time between Manhattan and Syracuse.
