ONONDAGA COUNTY -- The Onondaga County Sheriff's department is investigating a student's complaint that a blue van followed him off the bus and to his home. The student, who attends Roxboro Road Middle School says the incident happened Monday. The following is a letter emailed to all parents.
Dear Parents:
On Monday afternoon, February 13, 2012, a Roxboro Road Middle School student in the Mattydale area reported that a blue van followed him home and stopped in front of his house as he was discharged from the bus. A report has been filed with the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department. An investigation is currently under way. I urge you to remind your child(ren) to always be cautious when aware of or approached by strangers for any reason. If you or your child know of any additional information regarding this incident, please contact the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department at 435-2111.
