HANNIBAL, OSWEGO CO. -- A pedestrian is recovering from minor injuries after walking into the street in Hannibal on Valentine's Day and getting hit by a car.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on State Route 104.

State police say 17-year-old Madeline Mikalsen, of Fulton, walked into the roadway and was struck by a 2002 Ford Taurus. The driver, 32-year-old Adrian Miller, of Watertown, was taken into custody on a previously issued warrant in Geneva.

Mikalsen was taken to Upstate University Hospital with minor injuries.

Police say pedestrian error was to blame for the accident.
