WATERTOWN -- State Police say they arrested Michael Desormeau, 24, after he attempted to steal from Super Wal-Mart in the Town of Leray multiple times.

Over the period of two weeks, police say Desormeau removed security devices and attempted to steal property from Wal-Mart multiple times.

Police say that each time, store security intervened. Desormeau was unable to steal the items and proceeded to leave the store.

Desormeau is charged with four counts of attempted petit larceny, three counts of criminal mischief, criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument, and an additional charge of parole absconder.

Police say Desormeau was arraigned in the Town of Leray and remanded to the Jefferson County PSB with $10,000 bail on the criminal charges and no bail on the parole revocation.
