DEWITT -- A Sullivan man is accused of driving drunk and crashing into a telephone pole in DeWitt.

State police say 44-year-old James Ramacus, of Moore Road, was driving eastbound on State Route 298 when he lost control of his pickup truck, slamming into a telephone pole. Police say his blood alcohol content was .17 percent. He was not hurt.

Ramacus is charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was issued traffic tickets and released.
