Scriba plant is now generating power
The Nine Mile One nuclear plant is back on line and generating power, after week-long repairs to a leaky valve.
It's taken a week, but Nine Mile One is back on line, generating power at 100%.
Constellation Energy says the nuclear plant in Scriba, Oswego County, was shut down last Sunday, February 18, for repairs to a leaky valve. Plant startup began again on Friday morning, and it began feeding power to the grid, at about 20% capacity, Friday evening. It reached full power production late Saturday night.
