FRANKFORT -- A former Frankfort police officer finds himself on the other side of the law.

39-year-old Daniel Herrman, of 59 Cross Street in Yorkville, is charged with criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a weapon.

State police say Herrman had an unregistered and stolen .40 caliber Glock pistol, which was the property of the Village of Frankfort Police Department.

Herrman used to work there as a police officer. He was arraigned in the Town of Floyd Court and posted bail.
