SENECA FALLS -- Two buildings in Seneca Falls were destroyed by a fire that started at a meat processing facility.

The fire broke out Wednesday at 2984 Bauer Road. When crews got to the scene, they found flames pouring out of the roof of the meat processing facility. The fire spread quickly, engulfing the building and spreading to an adjacent storage barn due to high winds.

No one was inside the buildings at the time and no one was hurt.

Fire investigators say a meat smoker used earlier in the day sparked the fire.

The buildings were uninsured and both are a total loss.
