BROOKFIELD -- A Madison County teen is charged for allegedly beating and forcing an 18-year-old girl to stay at his home for more than a week.
State troopers charged 17-year-old Jordan Plows with felony assault, menacing, unlawful imprisonment, and criminal mischief.
Investigators say Plows assaulted the victim from February 16th to February 24th.
Troopers tell us that the victim went to Hamilton Community Hospital on February 24th, and was suffering from severe bruising in the face, as well as other parts of her body. Lieutenant Mike White told CNY Central's Jim Kenyon that "It was a boyfriend, girlfriend relationship. We consider this a case of domestic violence."
According to investigators the victim escaped and while driving away from the home she ran off the road and struck a tree. She was able to walk to a nearby home for help.
Lieutenant White says Jordan Plows lives in the home on Baldwin Road with his mother. "The mother was aware the girl was in the house. We don't believe she was aware the girl was being held against her will at times. We don't believe she was aware the girl was injured." White says the mother was out of the house for extended periods of time because she was in Syracuse visiting her daughter who was injured in a car accident. White says the State Police has assigned a Crime Victim Specialist to assist the girl receive the kinds of services she'll need to cope with her ordeal.
Plows was arraigned in the Town of Brookfield and was sent to Madison County Jail on $25,000 cash bail/$50,000 bond.
A friend of Plows family, Mike Whitaker told Kenyon that Jordan Plows was a good kid from a good family, "I've known Jordan since he was a little guy...always a nice kid. I'm dumb founded...don't know how to explain it."
