LIVERPOOL -- This weekend, family and friends will say goodbye to a Liverpool woman killed in a car crash.
51-year-old Leanne Schaefer died Wednesday night from severe injuries she suffered in the crash on East Taft Road near Totman Road in Cicero.
Schaefer was critically hurt in the crash around 7 a.m. Tuesday. Investigators say her car was hit from behind by another car. That driver was ticketed for following too closely.
Calling hours for Schaefer will be held Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at Maurer Funeral Home at 300 Second Street in Liverpool. Her funeral will follow at the funeral home. A reception will be held after that at Liverpool Fire Station 1 at 1110 Oswego Road.
Schaefer worked for FedEx for more than seven years as a package handler/delivery driver. She leaves behind a husband and two children.
