Marcy car accident leads to felony arrest of Blossvale man

MARCY -- State Police say they arrested 20-year-old Kyle W. Foster, of Blossvale, after a one car roll over crash on St-49 in the Town of Marcy.

Police say Foster was headed East on St-49 when he 49 when he drifted onto the snow covered shoulder of the roadway, lost control, and overturned the vehicle. Foster was not injured in the crash.

During the accident investigation, a loaded and unregistered 9mm handgun was found in the vehicle. An additional search of Foster led to the seizure of marijuana and alcohol.

Foster was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful possession of marijuana and possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21.

Police additionally charged Foster with traffic tickets for driving across hazard markings, moving lanes unsafely, failure to keep right, and open container.

Foster was arraigned in the Village of New York Mills and was committed of the Oneida County Jail on $5,000 bail.
