Ski racing coming to Song Mountain
The fourth running of the Aquarius Cup is set for this coming week at Song Mountain, in Tully.
Christian Ringvold, who skied on the Norwegian National Team and is now a Skaneateles resident, says the slalom racing is a chance to see many good Central New York ski racers---and to get involved in this aspect of the sport. Competitors race each other, in parallell slalom courses, in 'old school' single elimination heats.
The races are a benefit for the 'Velo Cardial Facial Syndrome International Center at Upstate Medical University, and for Clear Path for Veterans
Racing begins on Thursday at Song Mountain in Tully, and wraps up on Saturday. There's more on the Aquarius Cup website.
