LANSING, TOMPKINS CO. -- The body of a missing Lansing woman has been found, according to the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office.
Johanna Kirkwood, 81, wandered from her Lansing home on Saturday while her husband was at the store.
Shortly before 4:00 pm Monday, authorities found her body in an open area between East Shore Drive and North Triphammer Road in the Town of Lansing, deputies said. No foul play is suspected.
The state says its Missing Adult Alert for Kirkwood on behalf of the Thompkins County Sheriff's Office has been canceled.
