FAYETTEVILLE -- The Fayetteville-Manlius School District will welcome a new athletic director in the fall.
The school board approved hiring Scott Sugar as the district’s director of physical education and athletics, effective July 1. He will take over for Rich Roy who is retiring after 22 years with the district. “I am truly honored for being chosen to be the next director of physical education and athletics for the Fayetteville-Manlius School District. I look forward to meeting and working with all the students, coaches, faculty and staff, administrators, parents and community members of this great district. Go Hornets!” Sugar said.
Sugar is currently the athletic director for the Oswego City School District. He previously served in various capacities in the Red Creek Central School District, including as the Assistant High School Principal/Athletic Director.
