DEWITT -- There were no major injuries in a morning fire at an apartment in DeWitt.

It broke out at an apartment complex along the 100 block of Polk Street off Erie Boulevard near Thompson Road.

Fire investigators say food cooking on the stove sparked the fire. It was quickly put out.

One person was evaluated for possible smoke inhalation.
