SYRACUSE -- The Syracuse Chiefs will stay with the Washington Nationals for two more seasons.

The two teams have extended their contract, making the Chiefs the top minor-league affiliate with the Nationals through the end of the 2014 season.

The Chiefs have been with the Nationals for the past three seasons. During that time, the team's record is 215-212. The affiliation brought star pitcher Steven Strasburg to Syracuse, bringing in big crowds to Alliance Bank Stadium.

The 2012 season for the Chiefs gets started on Thursday, April 5th at home against the Rochester Red Wings. You can get tickets online at SyracuseChiefs.com or by calling (315) 474-7833.
