WEST MONROE -- The Oswego County Sheriff's Office has released the names of the people involved in a deadly crash in West Monroe Sunday.

Deputies said Robert Hoke, 54, of Westernville, NY was driving west on State Route 49 around 2 pm Sunday with his passenger Lisa Staple, 49, of Rome, NY, when a white pick-up truck driven by Carl Wells, 65, of Parish, NY collided with the motorcycle near Whig Hill Road and Toad Harbor Road.

Hoke and Staple were dead when emergency crews arrived on scene.

Wells was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Deputies said they are still investigating the crash, but said Wells' failure to yield the right of way may be a contributing factor.

Names are not being released at this time, pending family notification. The investigation continues.
