TROY (AP) -- Authorities say they've found the car they believe was used in a drive-by shooting that wounded an upstate New York teenager who later died from his injuries.

Police in Troy tell local media outlets that 17-year-old Phillip McMillan of Troy was shot late Tuesday night while sitting with several other people on the front steps of a home in the city. Officials say he died Wednesday at an Albany hospital.

Police had a description of the car used in the shooting and they found the vehicle Wednesday afternoon in Troy.

No arrests have been made. Police are examining several possible motives for the shooting.

A 36-year-old man was fatally shot on a Troy street two weeks ago. A 19-year-old Watervliet man has been charged in the killing.
