Police say they were caught in the act
Two ex-soldiers are charged with breaking into a Ft. Drum storage building and trying to steal military equipment.
Two ex-soldiers were arrested on Friday for breaking into a storage building at a Ft. Drum motor pool, and trying to remove military equipment.
State Police say James Kirik, 22, from Edinboro, PA and Brandon Gerwerth, 24, from Elm Street in Carthage, were caught in the act by military police, before being turned over to troopers. The say themilitary equipment did not include weapons.
Both men had been stationed at Ft. Drum but are now civilians. They're each charged with burglary.
