Ithaca police charged Cornell University senior wrestler, Warner Phipps, with second degree Burglary, second degree menacing and fourth degree criminal possession of a weapon on Saturday evening.

Police say early Wednesday morning Phipps allegedly entered a woman neighbor's off-campus apartment on Valentine Place and threatened her with a long gun. Police say Phipps was looking for the victim's woman roommate at the time, they say she was hiding from Phipps in another part of the complex. Phipps eventually left the apartment.

Police were not notified of the incident until Saturday afternoon, and following an investigation, Ithaca police took Phipps into custody on Saturday evening. Police have recovered the long gun believed to have been used in the incident.

Phipps was held overnight in Ithaca City Jail and arraigned in Ithaca City Court. Phipps was remanded to the Tompkins County Jail in lieu of $15,000 cash or $15,000 Bond. The case is still under investigation.
