OSWEGO -- An Oswego woman is accused of taking welfare benefits illegally.
Oswego County Sheriff's deputies say 36-year-old Margaret Fellows, of 735 Dutch Ridge Road, declared income, making her ineligible for the food stamp benefit she received in excess of $10,000.
She is charged with offering a false instrument, welfare fraud and grand larceny.
Fellows was arraigned in Fulton City Court and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to appear in Mexico Town Court on April 10.
