SYRACUSE -- A well known radio personality will be back on the air next month.
Jim Reith, longtime host of "The Jim Reith Show" on WSYR radio, will host a live 30-minute television show starting May 14 on WCNY channel 24.1. Reith will also maintain a blog and have a podcast. He will also return to radio with a three-hour program on WCNY's HD3 radio station this fall.
Reith's radio program on WSYR radio was cancelled last fall.
The television program will air from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday starting May 14. The show will feature his unique analysis and opinions about the issues facing Central New Yorkers. "WCNY is a local multi-media company and we're committed to bringing Jim's talents and expertise to our viewers and listeners through all of our media platforms," said Robert J. Daino, WCNY's President and CEO. "We're also Central New York's public broadcasting station, and we believe the public deserves a voice like Jim's that knows the local landscape and the issues that most affect people's lives."
Reith's television show will involve guests, opinions, and timely local topics, and it will also include a lot of the personality Reith's fans came to know during his 27 years on Syracuse radio. "We're going to have fun with it," Reith said. "I would love to make the show a place where people can, in a variety of ways, hang out for a half hour and get informed about local issues and interact with the show through social media."
This fall, Reith will venture back into radio with a three-hour radio program. You can listen on on WCNY's HD3 radio station or by clicking here.
