April is Animal Cruelty Month
Doesn't she look like she's smiling?

Princess, healthy and beautiful, is now the 'spokesdog' for Captains Against Cruelty, the CNY SPCA online fundraiser to
help pay for animal cruelty investigators. You may remember she was a cruelty victim, found emaciated and near death in the basement of a Syracuse home last November. She's one of over a thousand animal cruelty calls answered last year alone in Onondaga County, and one of the over 450 animals taken to safe shelter.
Onondaga County Exec Joanie Mahoney helped announce the online fundraiser today, but former County Exec Nick Pirro and Princess actually kicked it off, on Weekend Today in CNY on Saturday. Here's the link for our previous story, including video of Princess' appearance on our Saturday morning news.
