DRYDEN, TOMPKINS CO. -- Tompkins County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a deadly crash.

It happened around 10:15 p.m. Tuesday on Pinckney Road near the intersection of Lower Creek Road in the Town of Dryden. Deputies say a red 2000 Saturn sedan rolled over into a ditch, killing 22-year-old William Owens, of Freeville.

Four others were hurt. 19-year-old Karen Williams, of Dryden, and 24-year-old Shana Swansbrough, of Ithaca, were airlifted to a hospital in Pennsylvania.

22-year-old Carrol Sangesland, of Groton, and 23-year-old Zacharia Proctor, of Dryden, were treated on the scene and released.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
