OSWEGO -- An Oswego man is accused of illegally receiving food stamp benefits.

Oswego County Sheriff's deputies say 31-year-old Howard Fellows, of 735 Dutch Ridge Road, revealed he had undeclared income which made him ineligible for the food stamp benefit he received in excess of $10,000.

He is charged with offering to file a false instrument, welfare fraud and grand larceny, all felonies.

Fellows was arraigned in Mexico Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to be back in court on May 29.
